T Stands For Tea Journal

Hi everyone! We certainly are getting "paid back" for the warm weather we enjoyed back in December and most of January.  The last few days we have had single digit weather with wind chills well below zero! It is hard to get moving on cold days like that, so not much has been going on around here.  I did manage a page in my Tea Journal which lets me stay in touch with the tea group.
On the left side, I used some gorgeous handmade paper gifted to me by our lovely hostess, Elizabeth, as a background. I had several copies of cups, and with a little cutting here and there, was able to stack them up. I wanted to carry over the music theme and images(which were rub-ons) from the other page
so I rubbed the images on a separate piece of paper, cut them out and added them to the steam. I thought I didn't have enough swirls so I drew some as well as the musical notes.
On the other side I added the rub ons directly to the page as well as some music notes that I stamped on stickers but had to glue down anyway. I used a calligraphy marker to write the quote, "Tea is to the body as music is to the soul".

My goal today is to try and get the quilt finished! I hope you have a great day and thanks for visiting!

Thank you for the kind comments and suggestion. I have now linked up with AJJ in!

beautiful pages! Love the imagery you used to make the steam:) Yes, we had that same weather and now it's warming up so thankfully the snow and ice we got last night is melting in the rain. Happy T day!

I'm with Johanna, Susi, and Valerie. Go PLEASE and enter the AJJ challenge because it fits this month's theme perfectly.

Had to laugh at Halle's comment, because she recognized my HMP, but I didn't until you mentioned it. It looks so much different in your book than it did in my craft room! I love how you added the rub-ons and cups to make it the perfect cup(s) of tea.

Thanks for sharing this gorgeous spread with us for T this Tuesday. We're supposed to get into the mid 80s F this week, so it's truly going to feel like spring here. Maybe even more like summer! Hope you thaw out soon.

Your spread is fabulous and although not a tea drinker I love seeing the quote as I just love your handwriting!
We have had a day of cold rain today - so hubby tells me(about the cold). Sorry to be so late, my outing yesterday made me tired! Hugs, Chrisx

catching up on my blog friends a little today. I see you are still at it with the journal thingie, looking very good. I love the quilt. My sewing machine is still on the table and I have been baking. So have not got back to it yet............I also have not been drawing either. I love doing way too many things. It's a pity house work gets in the way
hugs Janice
