T Stands for Ta Da Tuesday

I'm joining Bluebeard and Elizabeth today for T Stands For Tuesday.  My T today, besides being my standard cup of tea is a big TA DA! I finished the painting in two days, but the new floor took much longer than anticipated.  I still managed to get it all done before my daughter came home from school last Tuesday.
Here is a view of my desk with my much loved everyday cup which is half full of my fourth cup of tea for the day!  Unfortunately, I'm a little under the weather with a sore throat so I've been trying to drink a lot of green tea.  This is probably the neatest my desk has been in a long time--I even have space to work!
Here is a better photo of the floor.  Since this is a laundry room, we needed a durable floor and decided to go with this interlocking vinyl plank floor.  It is supposed to be waterproof also.  The color/pattern I picked is red hickory--I wanted something darker than what I had, and I like the look of the whorls and knots.
This photo looks towards the kitchen. Our cabinets are finished in cherry and the floor we did ourselves in red oak (pergo laminate flooring).  I was worried about the change in direction of the boards and how it would look, but I think it works okay since the vinyl planks of the new floor are wider than the kitchen ones.

I'm looking forward to visiting everyone who plays along on T Stands for Tuesday and to getting back to crafting!

YES!! That new floor is gorgeous. And I like how your desk turned out. The Ott light is front and center, which I think it should be. Wish I had mine in the main floor craft room on my desk, but the cord would cause too many problems.

Your floor turned out nice. I like the idea that the rooms have the pattern of the boards going a different direction. I think that's actually an added design element and looks like it was intentional.

You asked about the crop-a-dile. As long as you can get the item through the slot, you have nothing to worry. I've never had to heat the CDs, and I've never heated anything I've cut with it. For example, those Formica brand (Wilsonart, too) samples cut very easily, as do as many file folders as you can squeeze into the slot. And it doesn't hurt my hand either, which is NOT something I can say about a regular hole punch. Thanks for asking.

BTW, mine came from Michael's and I got it using a 50% off coupon around Christmas one year. They are regularly around $30.00.

Fab new flooring! Nice neat desk too. Will it be messy for WOYWW ? Speaking of cropodile ... There's a new version out with blue-ish handle. Much easier it use as the handle doesn't open so wide as the original. Great for small hands. More gears so it cuts thru everything like the original. I love mine!

That's a beautiful floor. I wish we had chosen someting like that but might have a lighter shade for the kitchen since the floor needs renewing.

Oh wow, how handsome that new floor is. Lovely. And I think that the difference between the two floors in the doorway is to be celebrated really, after all, each room needs a different character..and it's not much of a difference really, all wood is so lovely. (I'm married to a Joiner!)

The new floor looks really nice and your space is so organized. I'm feeling the beginnings of a cold as well. I'm upping the Vit.C and will have some Asian chicken soup with lots of ginger for lunch. That's my cure (hopefully!)
