Friday Round-up

Just a little post to show you what I've been doing lately...
Some french beaded Jasmine in a pretty aqua bottle vase.
My latest polymer clay work inspired by Christi Friesen and The Friesen Project.  I really like this sea turtle mama and babies.  We've moved on to the next book now which is "Woodland Creatures".  Hope to give some of those a try soon.
A heart basket filled with Poppies, Daisies, and some purple filler flowers.

Have a happy creative weekend everyone!

Holy COW. I am in love with that bouquet of flowers in the heart basket. That is unbelievable. And of course, your skills with polymer clay never cease to amaze and inspire me.

I hope your rain stops soon, but it looks like this slow moving weather pattern is just now headed your way.

The flowers are pretty and the turtles coming out of the shells "cracked" me up- yes, I had to go there. I do like the mama with the pearl on her back, too.

I just saw your question on my blog post. You do NOT need the glue since your pearl-ex has the binder. The glue is to set the mica powders that don't have a binder.

Of course, to be on the safe side, try adding a tiny bit to a small amount of water (no need for distilled water, since you'll use it all) and spray it on a piece of card stock or book page. Allow to dry and run your hand over it. If it comes off, you will need glue. If it doesn't, you won't.

BTW, any old spray MISTER should work. I found some old OFF in a plastic spray bottle, and after I use it, I'm going to use the bottle to hold my spray mists. Look around. You'd be surprised what you have lurking in your home. Just make sure it's a mister, and NOT a sprayer.
