Inspiration Overload!

There are over 20,000 different species of Butterflies, and I aim to immortalize them in beads, one by one! Seriously, did you know some of these beautiful insects can fly up to 30 miles per hour? Fortunately, most of them cruise along at about 5 miles per hour so I can get a good look at them. I'm not sure just what kind of butterfly this is, but I can across the photo on Pinterest--another inspiration overload!

At almost 90 degrees, it is too hot for me to work with clay, but I hope to have more dragons, sea turtles, and sea horses coming up!

Have a happy, creative weekend everyone!

I love the colors in this butterfly. Had no idea there were so many different ones. And I can't wait to see more of your clay creations!

Hopefully we'll get some more mild temps back. Wasn't it fun going from 40's and 50's to 90 degree weather in a day!

Heat (and humidity) has taken over my life, too. I can empathize. Of course, the beaded butterfly is not just accurate, it is gorgeous. Here's to the next 19,999!

That's fabulous, 20,000 types and all different. We are due for a cool down in a few days, hope it will stop your way as it heads out to sea. Have a great weekend, too!

Wow, that's an ambitious project Deb! When I worked at a photo agency, identifying butterflies was one of my favourite things (birds too of course). Looking forward to seeing more!
