APR-Favorite Color

Anytime I get challenged to use my favorite color in art is a happy day for me! Jenn's challenge in the Artist's Play Room was just that!

Again, if you have been reading my blog for awhile, you will have learned that my favorite color is purple--any shade of purple. So I actually combined her last challenge (to show your inspiration) which I didn't get finished in time, with this one. First, the inspiration...these beautiful Fuchsia seen at Hearst Castle:
Here are my french beaded ones:
It was hard to capture the exact shade of purple with beads I have on hand, and I am all about using what I have. But, anyway, they have purple cups!

Use the link above to stop by and see what others did with this challenge.

Have a happy, creative weekend!

Your beaded fuchsias are fantastic. Did you enjoy Hearst's castle? One of my favorite spots is Avila Beach which is on down the coast.

I agree with Trace, your skills amaze me. One of my very favorite flower is the fuchsia, not only because one of my three fave colors is FUCHSIA, but these flowers are so darn delicate yet colorful. We buy fuchsia hanging baskets every year.
Best,
Jenn

Oh my goodness you must have some patience and brilliant eyesight ;D
I love fuchsia's too and can always imagine little fairy ballet dancers when I look at them.
I plant them in hanging baskets every year and they never disappoint.
A great entry for the APR challenge :D
