APR Coffee or Tea?

Goodness is the only investment that never fails.--Henry David Thoreau

Yes, I am here with a second post! The theme at APR this week is coffee or tea--create anything using either as an inspiration. The idea came quickly, I just need the time to execute it. It is not as detailed as I planned. I did not even try to capture the reflections that show it is glass--my focus was on the flower--and trying out the new pan set of watercolors I bought earlier in the week.

I hope you will stop by and see all the wonderful art inspired by this theme.

It looks like a clear glass pot with the brewed coffee showing through as a back ground for the flower ... is it? What kind of flower is that? Kinda looks like a thistle to me.

All in all, nice job Debbie!

Just lovely!!! I once bought some of those blooming tea balls in jasmin taste. And it had a flower and leaves - a joy to watch it opens in hot water and to drink!!!! Just like your painting!!!

Thanks for commenting on my "Little Girl WIP - Day 2" ... for some reason I can't get your comment to publish?

I have never before heard of a tea ball....How interesting! So the tied up bundle of tea leaves with a straw flower in the middle is actually inside the teapot and not painted on the outside .... how very clever!

Couldn't one use a clear coffee carafe like the ones that come with coffee makers to brew tea ball tea?

Oh, this does look like a clear tea pot with one of those blooming tea flowers, I saw my first one a couple of months ago and have wanted to try one ever since! great job! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

We have a glass tea pot and use the blossoming tea flowers in it. I recognized this right away and smiled. Very nice!

I used one of those blooming tea flowers for one of my Tea Tuesday posts awhile back. I thought the blossom was awesome (say that three times fast), but the tea was bland and tasteless. However, the blooms were not nearly as lovely as the clear pot you brewed yours in. And I'm sure it tastes much better, too (grin).

A nice design, bold but not boring, because of the interest of the flower inside the teapot shape. I'm impressed!

What a sweet tea pot! I was drawn right to the flower, as well. :) Looks like clover or thistle (one of my favorites). :)
