IA Challenge-Dolls

To me, there is no more beloved doll than the Teddy Bear! Named for the 26th president of the United States of America, Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt who refused to shoot a bear cub that had been captured for him. Over the course of time, there have been many famous makers of bears: Steiff, Gund, Raikes to name just a few. Here is my entry for the Inspiration Avenue Challenge this week, chosen by Hettienne.
A miniature Gund bear holding some french beaded sweetheart roses.

Hope you have a happy, creative weekend!

You know that when we first met soooo many years ago I fell in love with your French flowers. Your flowers are the only ones that I have seen where the beads and wire connect in a way that you never see the wire. The beads blend in a way that the eye sees a true flower. These are beyond wonderful.

Oh Debbie. So so cute. And it is a really lovely touch with the crochet "stem" you have done. The flowers are amazing and it is so nice when the beads has somehow various colors in them. And the teddy - oh oh oh. Purely Valentine and so much more. Wish you a lovely weekend. Big hugs!!!

As always, I couldn't wait to visit when I saw you had posted this week's challenge, Debbie. Of course, Blogger had something to say, too, like "503 error."

But back to this darling bear holding the roses! I love that you put SO much of yourself into each piece you make. I have to admit, the bear looks like it could be a snow bear from the way it glistens. Nice photo. And those roses, with their own lovely wrapping, are truly awesome!

Debbie these are gorgeous, the "petals" as they curve and form the rose are perfect. Your bear is a sweetie.
