The Last Stand

The rain & heavy winds of a few days ago have stripped the trees of their leaves.  The red maples are the last hold outs-maybe the stems of their leaves are thicker or stronger. In any case, this is the view out of my kitchen window. It is a bittersweet view for  because I hate to see the bare branches, I am beginning to have a clearer view of the lake.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Beautiful. I love your view! Most of our leaves are gone as well and we've even seen a few flakes of snow.

Beautiful Debbie...you truly have a picture window. At least you will have the view of the lake. We are actually having some cool weather here on the coast. LOVE IT!!!

Hugs,

Lori, we had some snow flakes last week but nothing stuck. Tomorrow is supposed to be 60 degrees.

LOL, Stacy "few" fits, too! :)
These really are the last leaves.

Most of our leaves are gone now, as well. Winter will soon be here. We had a taste of it on Monday - with the most delightful sleet storm! Thankfully, we had raked and mulched all the fallen leaves the day before. Hope you enjoy the weekend! Theresa

This is your view?!? How wonderful!
Those purple trees make a perfect frame for the lake.
