Warnemunde, Germany

Our next stop was in the beautiful sea-side town of Warnemunde, Germany. A resort on the Warne River, it is very popular as a German summer holiday destination.

We were able to walk the length of the town which was lined with restaurants & quaint shops.

We visited St. Peter's Church which had a larger than life-sized statue of St. Christopher that was carved out of one piece of wood.

On a leisurely walk along the canal, we came upon this seagull just begging to have his photo taken! The harbor was loaded with sailing vessels of all kinds.

At the end of the harbor was a breakwater on each side with a lighthouse. There were a nice sandy beach and we saw people kayaking & swimming, and just enjoying this lovely area.

Last stop, coming up!
