When the Wind Blows....

Today, I am featuring my latest aceo, created for Creative Challenge #83. The challenge was to use one of the four elements as inspiration: air, earth, fire or water. It is third in my series of vacation memories. It is called, "Memories of Holland".

Windmills harness the energy of the wind with their rotating blades, and are most commonly used to grind grain or pump water. While there are not many traditional looking windmills left, we did see some when we visited a fishing village, called Volendam. You can read more about our visit to Holland, here.

This aceo measures the standard 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and is an original painting done in artist grade acrylic paint. It is available in my Etsy shop. It will come in a protective card holder and will be signed & dated on the back.

What is an ACEO? If you know what they are, they are completely addictive to make and to own! For those not familiar with them, ACEO stands for artist cards, editions and originals. They are small works of art in any media, the only criteria being they measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2".
